Summer Game Fest 2025 has just closed out with the announcement of Capcom's Resident Evil Requiem — the next mainline entry in its famous horror franchise — and it even got a nailed on release date: Resident Evil 9 launches February 27th, 2026.
What will also be known as 'RE9' in some circles (the trailer logo even suggested this), looks absolutely epic - and if there's one big AAA franchise that's consistently delivered over the last decade or so, it's Resident Evil.
Here's a glimpse of what to expect from Resident Evil Requiem on Xbox Series X|S next February:
