The President of the Philippines, Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., emphasized the country's desire for an alliance built on mutual respect, reciprocity, and shared goals during the vin d’honneur at Malacañan Palace in Manila. He highlighted the progress made by the Philippines in reintroducing itself as open for business and eager for cooperation with like-minded nations. Marcos stressed the importance of securing international support for the country's development agenda and global recognition as a reliable partner.

Since gaining independence, the Philippines has consistently defended its sovereignty and territorial integrity. The country has played a significant role in global issues such as climate change, human rights, and regional stability. Marcos underscored the proactive nature of the country's foreign policy, aimed at building peace, cooperation, and enduring partnerships.

As the Philippines prepares to chair the ASEAN Summit in 2026, Marcos urged international partners to continue collaborating actively. He expressed gratitude to the diplomatic corps for their support in economic initiatives and bilateral ties. The President assured them of the country's commitment to achieving its growth targets through fiscal consolidation, easing inflation, and trade negotiations.

Moroccan Ambassador to the Philippines, Mohammed Rida El-Fassi, echoed the sentiment of harmonious collaboration with the country. He emphasized the shared values of peace, progress, and excellence, reaffirming the commitment to friendship and cooperation. El-Fassi expressed optimism for a future of lasting peace, goodwill, and mutual respect between the Philippines and its foreign partners.
