Axiom-4 mission, initially set for May 29, is now rescheduled to launch on June 19, 2025, after resolving a liquid oxygen leak in the Falcon-9 rocket.

The Axiom-4 commercial mission to the International Space Station, which includes Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla, is now set to launch on June 19, 2025. This rescheduling comes after a liquid oxygen leak in the Falcon-9 rocket was successfully resolved. The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) confirmed the new launch date following a coordination meeting with Axiom Space and SpaceX.

Axiom Space is also working with NASA to address a pressure anomaly in the Zvezda Service Module on the ISS. The mission, originally planned for May 29, faced delays due to various issues, including a fuel leak in the Falcon-9 rocket and a leak in the Russian segment of the space station.

The crew for the Axiom-4 mission includes former NASA astronaut Peggy Whitson as commander, ISRO astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla as pilot, and mission specialists from the European Space Agency and Hungary. This 14-day mission is a significant milestone for India, Poland, and Hungary, signifying a revival of human spaceflight efforts in these countries.
