Other notable figures acknowledged include former NASUWT general secretary Dr. Patrick Roach, School 21 and Voice 21 founder and former Labour adviser Peter Hyman, and Reach2 CEO Cathie Paine, who are all set to receive CBEs.

Powell expressed her delight at the honor, thanking those who supported her nomination and emphasizing the importance of providing quality education to all children, regardless of their background. Tarn, on the other hand, humbly accepted the award, crediting his colleagues at Delta Academies Trust for their hard work.

Ex-union leader 'humbled' by honor

Patrick Roach, who recently retired as the NASUWT teaching union leader after 15 years, expressed his pride and humility at being recognized for his contributions to education. Similarly, Cathie Paine shared her joy at receiving a CBE, attributing the honor to her dedicated colleagues.
