Sony has recently lifted regional restrictions on several of its PC games, including God of War Ragnarök, The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, and Helldivers 2.

According to Wario64, the changelogs for these games on SteamDB indicate that the sale restrictions were quietly removed on June 13th.

While Sony has not made any official statements regarding the issue of sales restrictions in countries without PSN access, a check on SteamDB reveals that the games are now available in more countries. The only addition to the restricted list was the Russian Federation.

This change follows the review bombing of Helldivers 2 last year due to a PSN requirement that resulted in the game being removed from sale in 177 countries. Sony reversed this decision after facing backlash, but not before other Sony-published games were affected. Most recently, Stellar Blade faced criticism despite the developer's clarification that a PSN account was optional, not mandatory.

Regarding Sony's future plans, president Hideaki Nishino mentioned the possibility of adjusting the price of PlayStation Plus to enhance profitability. This statement was made during a discussion with Sony CEO Hermen Hulst about the company's subscription service and future strategies. Nishino emphasized the company's commitment to adding value and adapting pricing strategies to maximize profits.
