The Indian Medical Association has reached out to Tata Group Chairman N Chandrasekaran, requesting a compensation of ₹1 crore for doctors and individuals who lost their lives near the hostel in the tragic Air India plane crash. Dr Anil Kumar J Nayak, the IMA president, also urged for a package to be announced for any injured students or residents after a survey.

Following the crash of Air India flight AI717 near Ahmedabad airport, Tata Group pledged to provide ₹1 crore to the families of each victim. The group expressed deep sorrow over the incident and assured medical coverage for the injured, along with support for the reconstruction of B J Medical's hostel.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation is conducting checks on the nation's 787s, as Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu revealed in a press briefing. A special team has been formed to investigate all non-technical aspects of the crash, with a three-month deadline for the report. India's accident investigation bureau is focusing on the technical causes behind the tragedy.

Investigative teams from the UK and US have joined the efforts to determine the reasons behind the fatal aviation accident, marking the deadliest incident in over a decade.
