Iran informs Qatar, Oman mediators will only pursue negotiations once it completes response to Israeli strikes

Iran has communicated to mediators from Qatar and Oman that it is not willing to engage in ceasefire negotiations while facing Israeli aggression. An official, speaking on condition of anonymity, revealed that Iran will only consider serious negotiations after completing its response to the Israeli attacks. The Iranian stance is clear - no negotiations while under attack.

Israel initiated a surprise attack on Iran, resulting in the elimination of top military officials and damage to nuclear sites. The conflict is set to escalate further in the coming days, with Iran vowing to retaliate strongly. This has led to the most significant confrontation between the two adversaries.

In response to Western demands for a ceasefire contingent on Iran ceasing all retaliation, President Masoud Pezeshkian dismissed the promises made by American and European leaders as deceitful lies.

Contrary to media reports, Iran did not request Oman and Qatar to involve the US in brokering a ceasefire or renewing nuclear talks. The foreign ministries of Iran, Qatar, and Oman have refrained from commenting on the matter.

Oman and Qatar have previously played mediation roles between the US and Iran, with Oman mediating nuclear talks and Qatar facilitating a prisoner swap agreement. Both countries have strong ties with Iran, the US, and Israel.

Israel's military confirmed multiple sites were targeted by Iranian missiles, causing damage to a residential building on the Mediterranean coast. Iran launched ballistic missiles at several Israeli cities, prompting Israel to respond with a series of strikes across Iran.

As the conflict intensifies, Iran is preparing makeshift bomb shelters in mosques, metro stations, and schools for civilians. The Iranian military has vowed to continue its mission until necessary, while Israel shows no signs of halting its offensive.

Iran has suffered civilian casualties due to Israeli attacks, with reports indicating over 220 deaths, including children. Major Iranian cities like Tehran have been targeted, resulting in significant destruction.
