Over 100 new jobs will be created by Galway company Neurent Medical over the next three years after the opening of its new manufacturing facility in Oranmore.

Galway-based Neurent Medical is set to create more than 100 new jobs over the next three years following the opening of its new manufacturing facility in Oranmore. The company's CEO, Brian Shields, along with Minister Hildegarde Naughton and executive director and incoming CEO of Enterprise Ireland, Jenny Melia, were present at the event.

The new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, located in Westlink Commercial Park, signifies a significant milestone for Neurent Medical. By the end of 2028, the company plans to have 125 new highly skilled positions across its headquarters in Galway and Massachusetts.

This new facility will be the central hub for producing the company's Neuromark system, a minimally invasive medical device aimed at addressing chronic rhinitis. The roles created will span various functions such as engineering, quality control, operations, supply chain management, and sales and marketing.

Originating from the BioInnovate Ireland Programme supported by Enterprise Ireland, Neurent Medical has transitioned from concept to commercialization in just ten years, establishing itself as a success story in Ireland's MedTech sector.

During the official opening, Galway West TD Hildegarde Naughton and Jenny Melia from Enterprise Ireland joined CEO Brian Shields in celebrating the company's growth. Shields expressed pride in upgrading operations in Galway and highlighted the new facility's importance in meeting the rising demand for NEUROMARK while creating employment opportunities.

Melia emphasized that the expansion in Oranmore demonstrates Ireland's prowess in medical device research and development. She reiterated Enterprise Ireland's commitment to supporting companies like Neurent Medical in their global scaling efforts to drive economic growth and job creation in the region.

Deputy Naughton pointed out Galway's position as a hub for top MedTech companies globally and commended Neurent Medical's success in the US market. She expressed confidence in the company's future achievements given its remarkable growth trajectory.
