Aidan O'Brien's impressive run in the Royal Ascot juvenile races continued with Charles Darwin's victory in the Norfolk Stakes. The No Nay Never colt, a strong favorite, faced competition from Sandal's Song and Ameeq but showcased his superiority by winning comfortably by two and a quarter lengths.

Charles Darwin's win marked the first time a favorite had won the 5f contest since 2008, adding to Ballydoyle's successful week with Gstaad and True Love's victories. The triumph was also significant for jockey Ryan Moore, marking his 2,593rd domestic win and placing him joint-tenth among Britain's top Flat jockeys alongside Edward Hide.

Charles Darwin, sired by No Nay Never, secured his third victory in four races, displaying his potential as a future star sprinter. His impressive lineage includes dam Murin, who also produced dual Group 1 winner Blackbeard.

In the Norfolk Stakes, Charles Darwin finished ahead of Wise Approach and Sandal's Song, with Ameeq coming in fourth at 100-1 odds.

Ryan Moore praised Charles Darwin's professionalism and speed, highlighting his maturity and strong performance. Trainer Aidan O'Brien commended the colt's speed and mindset, expressing excitement for his future. Other jockeys and trainers also praised the winner and their own horses' performances.

Following the race, Charles Darwin was given odds of 4-1 for the Nunthorpe and remained at 25-1 for the 2,000 Guineas. Ante-post reactions were positive, with expectations high for the colt's future races.
