Milwaukee Brewers rookie Jacob Misiorowski made history by throwing six perfect innings against the Minnesota Twins, becoming the first starter in 125 years to achieve this feat in his MLB career.

On just his second career start, the 23-year-old pitcher kept the Twins hitless until the seventh inning when he allowed a walk to Byron Buxton followed by a home run from Matt Wallner. This marked the end of Misiorowski's impressive streak of 11 hitless innings, a record unmatched by any other starter since the modern era of baseball began in 1900.

The 6-foot-7-inch right-hander received a standing ovation as he left the game with the Brewers leading 8-2. The team went on to secure a 17-6 victory.

Reflecting on his performance, Misiorowski expressed his satisfaction, stating, "I think this is exactly how I ever dreamed of it coming along."

In his first start against the St. Louis Cardinals on June 12, Misiorowski had pitched five no-hit innings before exiting the game due to cramping in his right leg. With two wins and allowing only one hit in his first two starts, he now holds a unique record in the modern era of MLB pitchers, according to OptaSTATS.

During Friday's game, the young pitcher struck out six batters, showcasing his impressive fastball that reached speeds of 102.1 mph. A total of 12 of his pitches were clocked at 101 mph or faster, placing him among the elite pitchers in terms of velocity since 2008.

Despite his impressive speed, Misiorowski also displayed a diverse pitching repertoire, including a curveball, changeup, and a devastating slider that left batters like Willi Castro struggling at the plate.

Manager Pat Murphy praised Misiorowski's performance, noting that he showed great improvement and command on the mound compared to his debut. The Brewers' offense also came alive in the later innings, with Christian Yelich contributing a career-best eight RBIs to secure a dominant victory.
