A flawless third round sees Australian Minjee Lee take a four-stroke lead to the final round of the PGA Championship in Texas.

Minjee Lee is in a strong position to claim her third career major and the largest prize in women's golf as she takes a significant lead at the PGA Championship in Texas.

The Australian golfer showcased her skills with a flawless third-round performance, finishing with a 3-under-par 69 to extend her lead to four shots at the challenging PGA Frisco's Fields Ranch East course.

Starting the day behind world number two Jeeno Thitikul, Lee made a remarkable comeback with impressive play off the tee and precise putting. She secured three birdies on the ninth, 14th, and 15th holes, turning a three-shot deficit into a four-stroke advantage.

Lee's solid performance, hitting 11 of 14 fairways and needing only 26 putts, placed her at 6-under at the end of round three. In contrast, Thitikul struggled with four bogeys on the back nine, finishing with a four-over 76.

With no other players in red numbers, the final round is shaping up to be a thrilling match-play showdown between the leading duo. Hye-jin Choi, Miyu Yamashita, and Lexi Thompson are tied for third, seven shots behind Lee.

If Lee secures victory, she will achieve the third leg of the women's golf grand slam, adding to her previous wins at the 2021 Evian Championship and the 2022 US Open. Additionally, a win would end her 19-month winless streak and earn her a substantial prize of .4 million ($5.25 million).
