Emperador Inc. has earmarked P4 billion for its capital spending program this year, with bulk going to the expansion of its Dalmore distillery in Scotland, and to doubling its whisky maturation complex in its Invergordon distillery.
Expansion Plans
According to Emperador president and chief executive officer Winston Co, the company is close to the completion of the Dalmore distillery expansion in Alness, Scotland, which will double the brand’s production capacity moving forward.
It will also finance the expansion of the company’s whisky maturation complex at the Invergordon distillery to a footprint of 92 hectares from 45.4 hectares, housing an additional 1.5 million casks of maturing whisky.
“All this effort will ensure the capability of the whisky business to meet greater global demand for single malt and blended whiskies in the long term,” Co said in a regulatory filing on Monday.
Emperador's Brands
Emperador’s brands include Emperador Brandy, Emperador Light, Andy Player Whisky, The BaR, Smirnoff Mule, The Dalmore Single Highland Malt Scotch Whisky, Whyte & Mackay Blended Scotch Whisky, Terry Centenario, Tres Cepas, and Harveys.
