COVID-19 killed a New Brunswicker aged 65 or older between May 18-24, according to new data from the province.
There were no RSV or influenza deaths during that week.
On COVID-19, in addition to the fatality, seven people needed hospital treatment, including one person aged 45-64, and six people aged 65 or older.
No one required intensive care.
One person was hospitalized for the flu between May 18-24, and no one was hospitalized for RSV.
The province’s data took several days longer than usual to be published. It blamed the delay on “technical difficulties.”
The next batch of data is due to be released on Tuesday afternoon.
