Tamzin Outhwaite has recently shared insights into her breakup with her younger ex-boyfriend, Tom Child, expressing her desire to live independently moving forward.

The actress, aged 54, had been in a relationship with Tom, 33, for six years after meeting at a yoga class in 2017, but they parted ways last summer.

Prior to this, Tamzin was married to actor Tom Ellis, with whom she split in 2014 due to alleged infidelity on his part with actress Emile De Ravin during their time working on the American series Once Upon A Time.

In an interview with Hello Magazine, Tamzin revealed that after a significant relationship with someone much younger, she now feels ready to focus on herself.

She expressed, 'He's still one of my best friends, and I adore him. But I had to say: ''I don't want to share a bed. I'm in a phase where I need to be on my own''.'

Tamzin emphasized that she chose to maintain a friendship with Tom instead of opting for no contact, describing the decision as a mature one.

Reflecting on her newfound single status, Tamzin shared, 'I'm quite happy. And being single and happy is a really lovely place to be. And that can only happen with life experience.'

She also highlighted the importance of self-acceptance and enjoying her own company, especially at this stage in her life.

Currently starring in Channel 5 drama The Wives, Tamzin's character Sylvie undergoes a divorce, alongside co-stars Angela Griffin and Jo Joyner.

In a recent deleted tweet, Tamzin mentioned uncovering more past infidelities and lies from her ex-husband Tom Ellis, whom she divorced a decade ago.

Despite the challenges she faced, Tamzin expressed a sense of triumph and pride in overcoming her heartache and focusing on her personal growth.

Tom Ellis, now known for his role in the TV series Lucifer, remarried in 2019, while Tamzin continues to navigate her journey post-divorce.
