The heartbroken family of a teenager who tragically died after being stabbed in New Moston on Sunday night have paid tribute to their 'smiley, caring and hardworking' son. Ibrahima Seck, aged 14, was rushed to the hospital but sadly succumbed to his injuries. He had been stabbed outside the Fairway Inn before running to Nevin Road for help.
Detectives are investigating the murder, with a property on Warbeck Road sealed off. The family described Ibrahima as funny, caring, and well-liked, questioning why anyone would harm him. They expressed their pain, stating that the killers have taken away two lives - theirs and their son's.
Police have arrested several individuals in connection with the incident, with investigations ongoing. Witnesses recounted how Ibrahima sought help while bleeding on Nevin Road, where neighbors tried to save him before he was taken to the hospital.
The family mourned at the scene, with his father confirming his son's identity. Flowers and tributes were left at the site, with a plea for change and an end to violence. Greater Manchester Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward to assist in the investigation.
