ISRO postpones Axiom-4 mission launch to ISS for Indian astronaut due to weather conditions, rescheduled for June 11.

The launch of Indian astronaut Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla’s mission to the International Space Station (ISS) has once again been postponed.

The Axiom-4 Mission to the ISS, originally set for June 10 at 8:22 a.m. Eastern Time (ET) from Launch Complex 39A at the Kennedy Space Centre in Florida, has been rescheduled to June 11 due to weather conditions.

ISRO announced the delay, citing weather conditions as the reason for pushing back the launch. The new targeted launch time is 5:30 p.m. IST on June 11, 2025, according to ISRO Chairman Dr. V. Narayanan.

SpaceX, responsible for launching the Ax-4 crew aboard its Dragon spacecraft to the ISS, is now aiming for a June 11 launch for Falcon 9.

The launch is planned for 8:00 a.m. ET, with a backup window available on June 12 at 7:37 a.m. ET, as stated by SpaceX due to high winds in the ascent corridor.

Group Captain Shukla's mission was initially set for June 8 but was rescheduled to June 10. The crew was supposed to dock at the space station on June 11 around 12:30 p.m. ET.

Upon docking, the Ax-4 astronauts will spend approximately 14 days conducting research, technology demonstrations, and outreach events aboard the space station.

Group Captain Shukla will serve as the pilot of the Ax-4 mission, with former NASA astronaut Peggy Whitson leading the commercial mission. European Space Agency project astronauts Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski from Poland and Tibor Kapu from Hungary are also part of the crew.

The Ax-4 crew is currently in quarantine, and this marks the third time the launch has been rescheduled.
