The Formula 1 2026 calendar will see the addition of the Madrid Grand Prix as the final race of the European section next year, replacing the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix at Imola in Italy. The schedule remains at 24 races, with Madrid set to take place on 11-13 September.
Several changes have been made to the calendar, with a focus on streamlining transport and reducing carbon emissions. Canada, usually held in early June, has been moved to 22-24 May, taking the slot that Monaco would have occupied. Monaco will now be held on 5-7 June.
This adjustment allows Canada to follow the Miami race on 1-3 May, leading to improved freight efficiencies as equipment can be transported directly from one race to the next.
