President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. has tasked the Local Water Utilities Administration to look into the lack of water supply in some schools in Bulacan, which he inspected on Monday, according to Malacañang.

President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. has directed the Local Water Utilities Administration to investigate the water supply shortage in certain schools in Bulacan, which he personally inspected on Monday, as confirmed by Malacañang.

In a briefing held on Tuesday, Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Atty. Claire Castro stated that LWUA has been given a 48-hour deadline to provide a comprehensive report on the issue.

Castro mentioned, 'The Local Water Utilities Administration or LWUA has been instructed to promptly conduct an investigation. Who is responsible for the lack of water, and how can this be resolved before classes resume next week?'

'LWUA has 48 hours to submit an initial report, and we will provide an update tomorrow and again on Wednesday,' she added.

During his visit to Tibagan Elementary School in San Miguel, Bulacan, Marcos observed that the school's restroom facilities need upgrades. However, the main challenge lies in the water supply issue in the area, hindering the renovation of the bathrooms.

In addition to the water shortage, Marcos also pointed out that some school buildings were of outdated construction from the 1970s, which should have been replaced by now. He emphasized the importance of renovating these older school structures.
