June is an exciting month for K-pop boy band BTS, with the return of RM and V from their military service and the festive decor at Hybe headquarters.
RM, 30, and V, 29, who enlisted in December 2023, were officially discharged from their mandatory military duties on June 10. RM served in the military band and was seen showcasing his saxophone during his discharge livestream. V, on the other hand, was assigned to a special mission unit under the military police.
On V's Instagram Story, he shared moments from his last day in the military, including photos with actor Song Kang and a gym session. Jimin, 29, Jungkook, 27, and Suga, 32, are set to complete their service soon, with the band reuniting this month for group activities.
Jin and J-Hope, who finished their military service in 2024, have been active as solo artists. Jin, 32, will kick off his solo concert tour in South Korea on June 28, while J-Hope, 31, is concluding his global tour with a livestreamed performance in South Korea on June 14.
Hybe Headquarters in Seoul has been decorated with BTS and Army logos to welcome the group back, forming the slogan "We are back". This coincides with the group's 12th anniversary since their debut in 2013 under BigHit Music, now part of Hybe.
The annual BTS Festa began on June 1, themed Twelve O'Clock after their song Zero O'Clock, symbolizing new beginnings and resilience. The celebration will feature digital content and offline events, with main activities scheduled for June 13 and 14 in Goyang, South Korea.
