Following Greta Thunberg's claim of being kidnapped by the Israeli army while on a humanitarian mission, US President Donald Trump suggested that she should take anger management classes. Thunberg, along with other activists, was intercepted by Israeli forces while aboard the Freedom Flotilla carrying aid to Gaza.

The boat, named Madleen, set sail from Sicily in June with a cargo of essential supplies like formula, flour, rice, diapers, and women's sanitary products. Thunberg posted a video on social media stating that they were being kidnapped in international waters by Israeli forces, urging her supporters to pressure the Swedish government for their release.

Trump, in response to a reporter's question about Thunberg's claims, described her as a 'strange' and 'angry' person, suggesting that she might benefit from anger management classes. He also mentioned that Israel already has enough problems without kidnapping Thunberg.

The Freedom Flotilla Coalition accused Israel of violating international law in intercepting the activists. However, the Israeli foreign ministry assured that the activists were safe and unharmed, referring to the flotilla as a 'selfie yacht' on its way to Israel's shores, providing the passengers with food and water.

Israel had previously warned of taking necessary measures to prevent the flotilla from breaking the blockade.
