Conor McGregor has deleted a tweet criticising the aid ship that was bound for Gaza following a row with Irish actor Liam Cunningham on X

Conor McGregor recently deleted a tweet where he criticized an aid ship headed for Gaza after a disagreement with Irish actor Liam Cunningham.

The well-known Game of Thrones actor was discussing Israel's seizure of the Freedom Flotilla, a Gaza activist boat carrying aid, when McGregor decided to criticize Cunningham for supporting the ship.

Cunningham's response quickly gained attention, with him stating, 'Didn't know you could read and write Conor. Thought you used your hands to tap out.'

This comment was in reference to McGregor's UFC defeat to Khabib Nurmagomedov, where he was forced to tap out.

Following the backlash, McGregor chose to delete his original post.

McGregor is known for engaging in online disputes, particularly on social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter), and often opts to remove his own comments after the fact.

Israeli naval forces intercepted the boat early on Monday approximately 125 miles off the coast of Gaza, as reported by the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, the organization behind the mission.

The boat, under the supervision of Israel's navy, eventually docked in the port of Ashdod on Monday evening.

The activists on board stated that their intention was to protest against the ongoing conflict and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
