My daughter’s first parentally sanctioned house party was a New Year’s Eve bash in 2019. She was 17, so we thought why not let her have a few friends over and usher in the new year in style.

When vomit splashed on my face, I knew it was too late - the chaotic house party had begun.

My daughter's first official house party was on New Year's Eve in 2019. At 17, we decided to allow her to invite a few friends over to celebrate the new year.

However, what started as a small gathering quickly escalated into a crowd of nearly 50 people.
