Met Éireann has recently updated the Status Yellow weather warnings for today, shifting from thunderstorm warnings to rain alerts.
While most counties are still affected by the Status Yellow warning, Cork and Tipperary have been removed from the list, with the focus now on rain warnings.
A Status Yellow warning for rain is currently in place for all of Leinster and Co Waterford, set to expire at 6pm today.
Additionally, a rain warning is active for Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan, Leitrim, Roscommon, and Sligo until 9pm on Thursday.
The potential impacts during these warnings include local flooding, reduced visibility, and challenging travel conditions.
Although the day will begin with rain and thunderstorms in many areas, the afternoon and evening are expected to bring a mix of bright weather and showers. Rain will persist in Ulster counties throughout the night. The day will be humid, with temperatures ranging from 16 to 21°C.
