Recently, the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) announced the promotion of 78 uniformed personnel as part of an effort to inspire and uphold service standards within the organization.

According to BuCor Director General Gregorio Pio P. Catapang Jr., the promotions included 24 commissioned personnel, 54 non-commissioned personnel, and seven non-uniformed personnel. The names of the individuals promoted were not disclosed.

Catapang emphasized that these newly promoted leaders are expected to lead by example and motivate their teams to uphold BuCor's core values of integrity, professionalism, and responsibility. He believes that this mass promotion will not only boost operational efficiency but also prepare the organization to face future challenges in the corrections field.

He further stated that these promotions signify a commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and integrity within BuCor, highlighting the significance of these qualities for both operational success and overall organizational morale.
