Newstalk presenter and journalist Anton Savage will be hosting his show at Carlingford Marina in north Louth as part of the Newstalk Summer Tour. The event is scheduled for Saturday, June 21, and free tickets can be obtained from the Newstalk website. Attendees are required to register and present their tickets either in printed form or on their smartphones.
Anton Savage has a personal connection to the Cooley peninsula, as his late father Tom, who hailed from Bush, used to take him to visit his grandparents in the area. His mother, PR guru Terry Prone, recounted in her memoir how Tom would embark on weekend visits to friends and relatives, including stops in Cooley where they would watch matches and enjoy meals together.
With such fond memories and experiences in the region, Anton is sure to have captivating stories to share with both his guests and the audience at Carlingford Marina.
