A tragic hit-and-run incident on St Stephen's Day in Dublin resulted in the deaths of Anthony Hogg (40) and his wife Georgina Hogg Moore (39). The couple was struck by a vehicle while crossing the road near Whitestown in Dublin 15 at 5:45 pm on December 26th, 2024.

Georgina Hogg Moore was pronounced dead at the scene, while Anthony Hogg was taken to Connolly Memorial Hospital for treatment but succumbed to his injuries several hours later. Their teenage daughter, who was with them at the time, witnessed the tragic incident but was unharmed. Their teenage son was not present during the accident.

A 40-year-old man who was arrested in connection with the investigation was released without charge. A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions as the investigations continue.

The woman in her 30s has been charged in relation to the hit-and-run incident and was released on bail. She is scheduled to appear before Blanchardstown District Court on June 17th as the investigations into the case are ongoing.
