A young social media influencer from Punjab, Kanchan Kumari, known as Kamal Kaur or 'Queen', was discovered dead under mysterious circumstances inside a parked car at the Adesh Medical University campus in Bathinda. Police are investigating a possible link to a threat she had received from a designated terrorist. She had a large following on Instagram.
Last year, Kanchan had been warned by a designated terrorist to stop posting 'inappropriate' videos online. Police are taking the threat seriously and exploring all leads. The body was found after locals reported a foul smell coming from the car. Police suspect she was killed elsewhere and her body was placed in the car at the hospital parking lot. The number plate on the vehicle was fake.
Kanchan had informed her parents that she was going to Bathinda on June 9 but lost contact upon arrival. The Hyundai Eon where her body was discovered belonged to her. She was known for her bold presence on social media and had been involved in controversies. The police confirmed that her body was in an advanced state of decomposition.
Superintendent of Police Narendra Singh stated that Kamal Kaur, also known as Kanchan Kaur, was a well-known social media influencer. She had left home for a promotional event on June 9 but went missing. The post-mortem examination is scheduled for today.
