RTÉ has launched a talent search to find fresh voices, including Joe Duffy’s successor for Liveline.

Are you ready to step into the shoes of Joe Duffy and become the next voice of Liveline? RTÉ is searching for new talent to join their team, including a successor for the iconic radio show host.

The broadcasting company has opened up opportunities for on-air presenting roles within RTÉ News & Current Affairs and RTÉ Radio 1, following a recommendation from the Government's expert advisory committee and in line with RTÉ's New Direction strategy.

One of the highlighted positions in this talent search is the vacancy for the host of Liveline, a popular weekday phone-in show that Joe Duffy has been hosting since 1999. With Duffy's retirement approaching after nearly four decades with RTÉ, the search for his replacement is on.

Speculation on who will take over the Liveline reins has been rife, with names like Katie Hannon, Miriam O'Callaghan, and Ryan Tubridy being considered as potential successors. RTÉ is dedicated to refreshing and evolving its programming as part of its New Direction strategy, seeking talent across various genres such as news, current affairs, sport, entertainment, music, and the arts.

The broadcaster will create a longlist of potential presenters from the applicants to fill upcoming vacancies. If you've ever envisioned yourself behind the microphone at Montrose, now is your opportunity to make that dream a reality.

If you're interested in applying for this exciting opportunity, submit your cover letter, CV, and showreel by 4 July here.
