Liquid Glass Design and New Software Names

Apple introduced the Liquid Glass design language, described as its most comprehensive design update yet, which will bring semi-translucent features to redesigned widgets, notifications, and other elements. This design overhaul will provide a more dynamic and consistent user experience across iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. Additionally, Apple will adopt a new naming convention for its operating systems, with iOS 26, iPadOS 26, watchOS 26, and others set to release this fall.

iOS 26

iOS 26 will feature subtle design changes inspired by visionOS, with overlapping elements, rounded corners, and updated app icons. The Phone app will undergo a significant redesign, emphasizing scrolling and providing quick access to contacts and voicemail messages. Messages will introduce new features like customizable message backgrounds and improved screening for spam messages.
