Microsoft has launched Copilot Vision for Windows, an innovative feature that allows users to share their screen or apps to receive AI-powered assistance. This new extension of the AI assistant enables Copilot to provide guidance on tasks such as using Adobe Photoshop features or analyzing images and web content.

According to the Copilot team, when activated, Copilot Vision can view the user's screen in real time and offer insights, answer questions, and provide assistance as needed. It serves as a virtual assistant, helping users navigate through various tasks and applications.

Copilot Vision was initially tested earlier this year and is now available for free in the US for Windows 10 and Windows 11 users. While it no longer requires a Copilot Pro subscription, it remains part of Microsoft's experimental Copilot Labs AI projects.

Within the Copilot app on Windows, users can activate Copilot Vision by selecting a browser window or app to share with the AI. This opt-in feature ensures that users have control over when and what they share, similar to screen sharing in Microsoft Teams meetings. Unlike Recall, Copilot Vision does not continuously capture screen snapshots once enabled.

Although the experience is currently limited to the US, users can expect Copilot Vision to provide interactive guidance and support by highlighting screen elements and offering assistance in real time. Additionally, Copilot Vision is compatible with iOS and Android devices, expanding its accessibility across different platforms.
