A member of the prosecution team, San Juan Rep. Ysabel Maria Zamora, raised questions about Vice President Sara Duterte's response to the Senate's summons, especially after the articles of impeachment were returned to the House of Representatives. Zamora highlighted the uncertainty surrounding the accusations Duterte will address in her defense.

During an interview, Zamora emphasized that the Senate's decision to return the articles of impeachment raised confusion. She pointed out that the summons issued to Duterte requires her to respond to the accusations outlined in the articles, but with the articles back in the House, it is unclear what specific allegations Duterte will be addressing.

Zamora expressed concern over the Senate's authority to remand the articles of impeachment, stressing the importance of clarity in this matter. She mentioned that a motion has been planned to seek clarification from the Senate regarding their order.

After a vote by 18 senator-judges, the articles of impeachment against Vice President Duterte were sent back to the House to ensure that constitutional safeguards and jurisdictional issues were not compromised. The Senate also issued a summons to Duterte following this decision.

Prosecution team member, Batangas 2nd District Rep. Gerville Luistro, announced that they would file a motion to address any uncertainties regarding the remanded articles. The House, while deferring acceptance of the returned articles, emphasized that their actions were not in defiance of the Senate but aimed at clarifying potential issues.

House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez assured compliance with the Senate's directive to uphold the impeachment process. Romualdez emphasized that the House's resolution certifies that no Constitutional provisions were violated during Duterte's impeachment.
