Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Renewed for Fifth and Final Season

Ahead of its Season 3 premiere, the end is already in sight for 'Star Trek: Strange New Worlds'.

Paramount+ has announced the renewal of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds for a fifth and final season, even before the premiere of its third season. The upcoming season will consist of six episodes, with production set to begin later this year.

The third season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is scheduled to debut with two episodes on Thursday, July 17, on Paramount+ in the U.S. Subsequent episodes will be released weekly on Thursdays, leading up to the season finale on Thursday, September 11. Additionally, the series has already been renewed for a fourth season, currently in production.

Executive producers Akiva Goldsman, Henry Alonso Myers, and Alex Kurtzman expressed their gratitude to Paramount+ for allowing them to complete their envisioned five-season mission. They also thanked the passionate fans for their support, promising three more exciting seasons to come.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds has received multiple award nominations, including a Best Drama Series nomination at the Critics Choice Awards in 2023 and a win for Best Science Fiction Television Series at the Saturn Awards in 2022.

Star Trek: Lower Decks has also been renewed for a fifth and final season, concluding last year.

The series is a collaboration between CBS Studios, Secret Hideout, and Roddenberry Entertainment. The third season will feature Anson Mount, Rebecca Romijn, Ethan Peck, and other talented cast members, along with guest stars Carol Kane and Paul Wesley.

Co-showrunners Akiva Goldsman and Henry Alonso Myers, along with a team of executive producers, lead the production of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. The series is available for streaming exclusively on Paramount+ in various countries, including the U.S., UK, and Canada, among others.
