An Air India flight from Ahmedabad to London crashed shortly after takeoff, resulting in the loss of 241 lives on board, with only one survivor. The death toll has now reached 265 as the aircraft crashed into a medical college complex.

The passengers included 169 Indians, 53 British nationals, seven Portuguese, and one Canadian, along with 12 crew members.

During the match, tailenders Nathan Lyon and Mitchell Starc were at the crease, with seamer Kagiso Rabada opening the bowling for South Africa.

Australia is aiming to defend its WTC title from 2023, while South Africa is seeking its first ICC title since 1998.
