Mr Ramesh said he saw cabin crew members and passengers dying in front of his eyes.

The only survivor of the recent Air India plane crash, British man Vishwashkumar Ramesh, shared his harrowing experience of escaping the wreckage through an opening in the fuselage. Ramesh, who was seated in 11A on the London-bound Boeing 787 flight, described how he unbuckled himself, used his leg to push through the opening, and crawled out to safety.

Tragically, all other passengers and crew on the flight perished in the crash, which claimed the lives of 169 Indian nationals and 52 British nationals. The incident occurred shortly after takeoff in Ahmedabad, western India, with over 200 bodies recovered so far.

Speaking from his hospital bed, Ramesh recounted how the lights inside the aircraft started flickering moments after takeoff. He described feeling as though the plane was 'stuck in the air' before it ultimately crashed into a building and exploded. Fortunately, the section where Ramesh was seated landed near the ground and did not make contact with the building, enabling his escape.

Video footage shared on social media captured Ramesh walking towards an ambulance with smoke billowing in the background. He expressed disbelief at his survival, recounting the harrowing experience of witnessing others perish before his eyes. Despite the trauma, Ramesh emphasized his astonishment at walking out of the rubble alive.
