Airline stocks in Europe are experiencing a sell-off today, with shares of Wizz Air down by 4.8%. The Hungarian budget carrier has suspended its flights to and from Tel Aviv due to the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran, rerouting planes away from affected airspaces for the next 72 hours.
Other airlines like Norway's Norse Atlantic, British Airways owner IAG, and Finnair are also facing significant losses, with shares down by 4.2%, 3.8%, and 3.7% respectively. This comes on the heels of Thursday's Air India crash, which further impacted the sector, causing a 3.4% drop in airline stocks.
