Indian cricket team head coach Gautam Gambhir has had to cut short his time in England ahead of the upcoming Test series against England due to a family emergency. The series is scheduled to begin on June 20, and Gambhir's absence will be felt as the team gears up for the matches.

Gambhir had to rush back to India after receiving news of his mother, Seema Gambhir, suffering a heart attack on June 11. He is expected to rejoin the team on June 17, just days before the first Test at Headingley, Leeds.
