The Economic Journalists Association of the Philippines (EJAP), the country’s premier organization of business journalists, has announced its upcoming annual Infrastructure Forum. The event is scheduled to take place on Monday, June 16, at the Fairmont Hotel in Makati City.

The forum, with the theme “Government Infrastructure Program: What’s Been Achieved and What’s Next,” will focus on the collaborative efforts of government and private sectors to modernize the country’s transportation and internet infrastructure. It aims to provide insights into current accomplishments and future plans for these vital sectors.

Secretary Vivencio “Vince” Dizon of the Department of Transportation (DOTr) is set to deliver a keynote address. He will highlight the DOTr's achievements during his initial 100 days in office and outline upcoming projects aimed at improving road, railway, aviation, and seaport infrastructure.

Following Secretary Dizon, Secretary Henry Aguda of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) will discuss the department’s key priorities. His focus will be on expanding digital connectivity, enhancing cybersecurity, and extending internet access to underserved communities, especially those in remote and disadvantaged areas.

Gold Sponsors for the forum include Grab Philippines, Converge ICT Solutions Inc., Globe Telecom Inc., and PLDT Group. Representatives from these companies will participate in a panel discussion following the speeches by Secretary Dizon and Secretary Aguda.

EJAP President Myla Iglesias-Acuña stated, “This year’s EJAP Infrastructure Forum will provide stakeholders with an exclusive insight into the collaborative efforts of the government and private sector in addressing challenges in the transportation and telecommunications sectors, particularly in the face of rapid urbanization and artificial intelligence.”

Additional support for the EJAP Infrastructure Forum comes from San Miguel Corp., Metro Pacific Investments Corp., Filinvest Development Corp., Megawide Construction Corp., and International Container Terminal Services Inc.
