Grainne Buggy, a resident of Iornbridge, Shropshire, England, and The Abbey in Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal, passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness on June 12th at Sligo University Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Ian Donnelly, mother of Aoife, stepmother to John (Catherine) & Hailey (Dan), and grandmother to Theo, Amalia, Olivia, George, Zoe & Alfie. Grainne was the daughter of PJ & the late Anne and will be deeply missed by her siblings, nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of family, friends, neighbors, colleagues, and patients.

We fondly remember her mother Anne and brother-in-law Kyle as well. Grainne's funeral arrangements include a viewing at The Abbey in Ballyshannon on Saturday from 1 pm to 8 pm, followed by a Mass of the Resurrection at St. Patrick's Church on Sunday at 11 am. A cremation service will take place at Lakeland's Crematorium in Cavan at 3:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Friends of Sligo University Hospital ICU. Condolences can be shared by leaving a message in Grainne's condolence book. The Funeral Mass will be live-streamed on St. Patrick's page at www.churchservices.tv/Stpatricksballyshannon/. The family has requested privacy outside of the scheduled viewing times.
