Elgin Ng is also accused sending voyeuristic images he took of the women to a man.

A former staff member of the National Dental Centre of Singapore (NDCS) has been charged with taking voyeuristic images of female patients and sharing them with another individual. Elgin Ng allegedly captured unauthorized photos of the women's breasts and sent them to a man without their consent.

Ng, a 28-year-old Singaporean, faces 25 counts of voyeurism, with each charge involving a different woman whose identity has been protected due to a court order. The incidents reportedly took place between March 2022 and April 2024.

In addition to the voyeurism charges, Ng is accused of unlawfully accessing NDCS computer systems. He allegedly obtained personal information of 18 patients from the electronic dental records system in 2023 and 2024. Ng also purportedly downloaded photos of 42 patients from a system in 2022 and 2023, resulting in two charges under the Computer Misuse Act.

NDCS confirmed that Ng is no longer employed by the organization and emphasized its commitment to patient safety and data privacy. The center conducted internal investigations and reported the incident to the police upon discovery.

Ng appeared in court but did not enter a plea. He is scheduled to return for a hearing on Jul 8. If convicted of voyeurism, Ng could face imprisonment, fines, caning, or a combination of these penalties. Distributing voyeuristic images carries a potential sentence of up to five years in jail, while unauthorized data access could result in fines or imprisonment.
