Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has warned Israel that it ‘must expect severe punishment’.

President Donald Trump recently urged Iran to comply with US demands regarding its nuclear program while Tehran vowed to retaliate against Israeli air strikes that targeted nuclear sites and military facilities, resulting in casualties among senior military figures and nuclear scientists.

In a statement on his Truth Social platform, Trump cautioned Iran about the upcoming attacks and encouraged Iranian officials to negotiate a deal before it's too late.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio clarified that the US was not involved in the Israeli attacks and advised Iran against targeting American interests or personnel in the region. However, Tehran warned that Washington would bear the consequences.

Iran pledged a strong response to the attacks, with Israel intercepting numerous drones launched towards its territory in retaliation.

Reports from Iranian state media confirmed the deaths of top military commanders and nuclear scientists in the strikes. Israeli warplanes targeted over 100 sites in Iran, including the main uranium enrichment facility in Natanz.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the attacks will continue until their objectives are met. Iran's Atomic Energy Organisation reported damage to Natanz but no casualties.

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei cautioned Israel of severe punishment following the assault, asserting Tehran's right to retaliate. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian also condemned the Israeli actions.

Iranian protesters gathered in Qom demanding retribution against Israel, while military experts in Tehran suggested an imminent strike on Israel's military and nuclear installations.

US and Iranian officials are scheduled to meet for further talks on Iran's nuclear program in Oman. Trump has emphasized the need for strict regulations, while Iran maintains its nuclear activities are peaceful.

Israel's recent attack has drawn criticism from the International Atomic Energy Agency, marking the first breach of non-proliferation obligations by Iran in nearly two decades.
