Oakmont Country Club has met expectations as the host of the 2025 U.S. Open, with only 10 golfers finishing the first 18 holes under par out of the 156-man field. J.J. Spaun leads the leaderboard entering Round 2 after an impressive bogey-free 66 in Western Pennsylvania. The competition will be fierce as players aim to catch up to him.
Jon Rahm, the favorite entering Round 2, is three strokes behind Spaun but has the skills to narrow the gap quickly. Brooks Koepka is also in contention, trailing by two strokes after years of struggling in major tournaments.
