A man was stabbed in the chest, leading to armed police descending on Elmhurst Road in Belle Vale. The incident occurred just before 8.45am on Wednesday, June 11. Upon arrival, officers found a man in his 30s with a stab wound, who was then taken to the hospital and is currently in stable condition.
Andrew Maguire, 39, of Hornbeam Road, Halewood, has been charged with various offenses including wounding with intent and possession of a knife blade in a public place. He appeared at Liverpool Magistrates' Court on Thursday, June 12. An air ambulance was also called to the scene, and forensics and detectives are conducting investigations in the area.
Witnesses reported seeing a heavy police presence in the area, with armed police and dogs filling the street. The incident has caused a stir in the neighborhood, with residents and workers expressing shock at the scene.
