The Royal Family are wearing black armbands at today's annual celebration in London in memory of victims of the Air India crash.

During the Trooping the Colour parade, King Charles has requested the Royal Family to wear black armbands to honor the victims of the Air India plane crash. The King has also called for a minute's silence to pay respect to the lives lost and the affected communities. This gesture comes after the tragic news of the crash that claimed the majority of the passengers and crew.

Flags at royal residences have been lowered to half-mast, and the addition of black armbands serves as another symbol of respect. The King expressed his shock over the events in Ahmedabad and wanted to show solidarity with the families in mourning.

Furthermore, coachmen and women on carriages, as well as senior royals in military uniform, are expected to wear black armbands during the parade. However, those royals not in uniform may not wear them.
