In a heartbreaking incident in Chhattisgarh's Kanker district, three minor siblings tragically passed away after their parents allegedly served them a poisoned dinner and then consumed it themselves. The parents are currently in critical condition at a local hospital, according to police reports on Saturday.

Initial investigations indicate that the 36-year-old husband and his wife reportedly fed poison to their three children, aged 9, 12, and 6, during dinner. Subsequently, the couple is believed to have ingested the toxic substance later that same Friday night, as stated by a local police official.

The tragic incident resulted in the deaths of all three children, while the parents were rushed to Pakhanjore Civil Hospital in critical condition by concerned neighbors who also contacted the authorities, the officer further explained.

Local residents have informed the police that the family was experiencing significant financial difficulties. Law enforcement officials have shared that a thorough investigation is currently in progress to uncover more details.
