Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, along with a high-level parliamentary delegation, has called on the international community to engage with India and emphasize that military confrontation is not a solution to the Kashmir dispute or terrorism. They stress that dialogue is the only way forward.

In a press talk with media in Brussels after meeting with the European External Action Service (EEAS), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari appealed to the European Union to play a role in promoting peace in the region. He mentioned that US President Donald Trump has expressed readiness to mediate on Kashmir, and positive responses have been received from the European Union and the United Kingdom.

During a strategic policy briefing in Brussels, the PPP chairman warned against the weaponization of water as a new dangerous frontier in regional conflicts. He criticized India's decision to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty and highlighted the risks it poses to ecosystems and livelihoods.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed deep concern over India's shift towards unilateralism, aggressive military actions, and violations of international law. He emphasized Pakistan's commitment to peace, dialogue, and regional stability, calling for the resolution of disputes, including Jammu and Kashmir, through peaceful means and in accordance with UN resolutions.

The PPP chairman criticized India's policy of blaming Pakistan for terrorist attacks without evidence and urged Europe and the global community to intervene to prevent further escalation of tensions. Discussions also covered climate resilience, equitable global governance, migration, and strengthening Pakistan-EU partnerships.

During a meeting with the European Union, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari highlighted India's aggressive posture and attempts to weaponize water resources, calling on the international community to press India to uphold international law and refrain from actions that jeopardize regional peace.

The PPP chairman also discussed climate security with the European Union Special Envoy for Climate and Environmental Diplomacy, expressing concern over India's decision to hold the Indus Waters Treaty in abeyance. He emphasized the need for climate justice, inclusive environmental cooperation, and sustainable energy transition.
