Daniel O'Connell, from Knockraha, and Amy O'Sullivan, from Togher, were joined by family and friends for their wedding last weekend.

Amy O’Sullivan and Daniel O’Connell, residents of Knockraha, recently celebrated their wedding surrounded by loved ones who traveled from various locations to join in the festivities.

The couple, who first crossed paths ten years ago, welcomed their daughter Sophia during the pandemic and their son Daniel in 2022.

Daniel, hailing from Knockraha, proposed to Amy, a Togher native, in 2023. The couple exchanged vows at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Clonakilty on June 7, officiated by Father John Walsh from Togher parish.

The bridal car for the special day was provided by Wedding Vintage Car Hire Cork. Amy was accompanied by her sisters Jennifer and Emer, along with her best friend Vicky, as bridesmaids. Daniel's close friends Nigel, Eddie, and Johnny stood by his side as groomsmen. Sophia and Daniel Jr. played the roles of flower girl and page boy, respectively.

Guests traveled from afar to attend the wedding, with Daniel's sisters journeying from Dubai and Australia, and Amy's godmother flying in from Salt Lake City, Utah, to share in the couple's joyous occasion.

Amy's gown was from Diamond Bridal, and she expressed her desire for a traditional yet modern look. Make-up was expertly done by Rebecca O’Donovan Make Up, and hair styling was handled by Audrey Donohoe of Mane Hair. The suits were provided by Tom Murphy’s, music at the church was performed by Caroline Fraher, and the floral arrangements were crafted by West Cork Flowers.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Fernhill House Hotel, where guests enjoyed music by Áine O’Halloran. The couple's wedding cake was created by Edel O’Mahony of Delzer Kipling Cakes, and the Caroline Bailey Band kept the dancefloor lively. Amy and Daniel shared their first dance to the tune of Die With A Smile by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars.

When asked about the most memorable part of their day, the couple expressed their joy in having both their families come together to celebrate with them. DJ Patrick Ahern ensured the festivities continued well into the early hours, capturing the essence of a truly unforgettable day.

Photography was expertly handled by Sean Sharpe, while Story Begins Wedding Films captured the day's precious moments on video.
