Pakistan has warned the United Nations Security Council of the grave threat posed by Israeli strikes on Iran, calling it a danger to world peace and stability. During an emergency session on Friday, Pakistan strongly condemned Israel's attacks on Iranian nuclear and military facilities, which resulted in casualties and widespread destruction.

Israel claimed to target nuclear facilities, ballistic missile factories, and military commanders in its strikes on Iran. Iranian officials reported casualties and damage, including the death of a top commander and several nuclear scientists. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the attacks were part of an operation to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons.

Pakistan's Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, expressed solidarity with Iran and criticized Israel's aggression as unjustified and illegitimate. Iran's Foreign Minister called for international action against Israel for crossing red lines and committing crimes. Several countries, including Algeria, Pakistan, China, and Russia, supported the call for a Security Council meeting.

Amid escalating tensions, the Pakistani envoy urged the Security Council to uphold international law and stop the aggression through dialogue and diplomacy. The UN Under-Secretary-General for political affairs emphasized the need for restraint and peaceful resolution, urging both Israel and Iran to avoid further conflict. The International Atomic Energy Agency Director General stressed the importance of protecting nuclear sites and promoting dialogue for peace and security in the region.

Pakistan's strong support for Iran's right to self-defence marks a significant stance in the face of Israeli attacks, highlighting a commitment to principles of sovereignty and international law. Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar reiterated Pakistan's support to Iran and condemned the aggression, emphasizing the need for accountability and peace in the region.
