A suspect has been arrested following a dramatic ram raid at a jewellery store in Queensland. The incident took place at Gladstone Centre Plaza in West Gladstone around 2am yesterday, where the suspect allegedly used a black Citroen sedan to crash into the shop and ram the security doors.
Authorities claim that the suspect broke through the glass doors of the plaza before fleeing the scene. Following an investigation, police searched a residence in the nearby suburb of Clinton and discovered stolen property, including multiple watches.
The 31-year-old suspect has been charged with offenses related to breaking and entering, as well as committing an indictable offense. He is scheduled to appear in Gladstone Magistrates Court in July. Investigators are urging anyone with additional information to come forward and assist with the ongoing inquiries.
