Professor Richard Scolyer, a former Australian of the Year, recently celebrated a significant milestone on Saturday mornings.
The esteemed pathologist and ex-co-medical director of Melanoma Institute Australia faced devastating news when his incurable brain tumor resurfaced following an operation in March.
Despite initial concerns about his prognosis, Scolyer made a decision to embrace life to the fullest and cherish moments with his family and friends - wife Katie, and children Emily, Matthew, and Lucy.
An avid triathlete, he also set a personal goal of completing his 250th Parkrun, a popular five-kilometer community event that takes place every Saturday morning and draws participants from 23 countries.
