A rocket hit PM’s aide’s home in Bajaur late Friday — second such attack in a month; no casualties reported

Member of the National Assembly (MNA) and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, Mubarak Zeb Khan, experienced a rocket attack on his residence in Bajaur district late Friday night. This incident marks the second attack in a month, prompting Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to order an immediate investigation and arrest of the perpetrators.

Express News reported that unknown assailants fired a rocket at the MNA's house around 1 am, causing partial damage to the entrance. Fortunately, no casualties were reported. District Police Officer (DPO) Bajaur, Waqas Rafiq, confirmed the incident and stated that a probe had been initiated, with police teams conducting immediate investigations.

In a tweet, Khan mentioned the attack and expressed gratitude that no lives were lost. Prime Minister Shehbaz strongly condemned the attack in a statement on Saturday, directing law enforcement agencies to swiftly investigate and bring the culprits to justice.

The MNA, suspecting the involvement of the banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), emphasized that such cowardly acts would not deter him from serving the region. He highlighted the potential motives behind the attacks, attributing them to efforts to sabotage development initiatives in Bajaur. Despite receiving threats to halt developmental activities, Khan remains resolute in his commitment to serving the people of the region.
